From the National Enquirer: “PRESIDENT OBAMA has been caught in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide, sources say.”

This is news for 2 reasons.

1. If true it is a shocker.

2. If it is false, the National Enquirer will have much explaining to do.

(UPDATE: Apparently the Globe forced the National Enquirer to go ahead with its story. Hence the graphic at the top. Back to the original post.)

Hey, remember that soccer game that wasn’t a soccer game on April 10?

Was it?

Nyah.

By the way, the weekly tabloid named the woman as Vera Baker.

Oh and the National Enquirer reported: “And now, a hush-hush security video that shows everything could topple both Obama’s presidency and marriage to Michelle!”

I doubt there is a tape. He would not be that stupid. right now, I am betting against this being true.

By the way, if the name Vera Baker sounds familiar, it should. Her Wikipedia entry:

Vera Baker is a former political fundraiser. With Muthoni Wambu, she founded Baker Wambu & Associates in 2000. According to The Politico, Baker’s organization became a top fundraising firm for the Congressional Black Caucus.

It’s estimated that some 5,000 barrels of oil a day are spewing into the Gulf.
A top advisor in the Obama administration has said that no new oil drilling will be permitted until it’s learned what caused last week’s explosion.
This could be the BIGGEST public relations challenge an oil company has had to face in the U.S. since 1989’s

that Apple was preparing to launch something called iTunes.com – a browser-based cloud version of the music service sometime this year. And of course Apple’s purchase of Lala last year pointed to a move towards the ether too. But more than that, the move just makes perfect sense. For one thing if iTunes is in the cloud then it’s suddenly a lot less cumbersome for affiliate partners to sell iTunes tracks. At the moment, clicking on a buy button on – say – Spotify means that the user is redirected to the iTunes store in the iTunes client. A cloud-based version would make buying much easier, and would make more money for the industry generally and for Apple specifically.
Of course the main reason to launch cloudTunes is to enable users to access their music libraries and playlists from any device, including the next gen iPhone, also pending launch at the 7th June event. The big question is whether Apple will also launch a subscription service enabling users to listen to any music – not just music in their iTunes library – on their device for a monthly fee. Could the next gen iPhone Come With Music? We think that’s unlikely, primarily because that’s not what Lala was about, and it’s not what Apple bought. Still – we wouldn’t bet the house against such a move, especially not in the long term.

Michelle Malkin  Sarah Palin E-Mail Hacker Convicted on Two ChargesBy Doug Powers  •  April 30, 2010 03:31 PM
Today’s news is mostly being dominated by Arizona immigration law and the oil slick (don’t worry, the Department of Justice has dispatched a team of attorneys to the Gulf… whew!), but there is some other news just in…
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The 22-year-old son of a Democratic Tennessee lawmaker has been convicted on two charges in the hacking of Sarah Palin’s e-mail account while she campaigned on the Republican presidential ticket in 2008.
The federal court jury reached its verdict Friday against David Kernell after four days of deliberation. He was found guilty of obstruction of justice and unauthorized access to a computer, but was acquitted on a charge of wire fraud.
The jury was deadlocked on a charge of identify theft. Prosecutors reserve the right to have a new trial on that charge. The charge of obstructing an investigation has a maximum 20-year prison sentence.

HomeVaultGreen RoomEd Morrissey Show  White House hits reverse on off-shore drilling after Gulf spillShareposted at 2:55 pm on April 30, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

I’d borrow the AP’s favorite adverb on economic data, but this is so completely not unexpected that this development probably won’t get much play otherwise.  Facing a backlash on the Left already over his mildly encouraging earlier statement on offshore drilling, the White House moved quickly to assure everyone after the ongoing Gulf of Mexico spill that Barack Obama only meant that in the hypothetical sense. David Axelrod made the obligatory backpedal on Good Morning America today:
