Away from the coast, there are 4 mountain ranges with the highest point being approximately 10,700 feet. The South East region houses the most Northern rainforest in the world. And of course, there are the little islands of Saona and Catalinita, which can be considered as tropical paradises. Numerous excursions are offered in Punta Cana, from boat trips to Saona Island to Jungle tours that explore the interior regions.
