Beginning A Resistance Exercise Program Can Generate Big Benefits
In an exercise program, the exercises that you do can make all the difference between an

effective program and one that doesn't produce your desired results. The good thing is that there are many exercises you can

incorporate into your workouts that will help you meet your health and fitness goals, as well as grow your muscles and keep you fit and trim.

Do a little research on what types of exercises will

work specific muscle groups and the areas you want to transform.

Then slowly incorporate them into your workout regimen. Pick a variety

of exercises that will make your body everything you dreamed it can be and do them on a regular basis. The reward is a toned, fit body that you can be proud of !

Stronger Legs
If you would like stronger legs, then consider doing some barbell

squats and dead lifts. If you have never exercised much, then perform these exercises with just your body weight, and then incorporate some resistance band exercises like mini bands to gradually add more resistance. Mini

bands are also great for those with more experience to improve

muscular coordination in movements that sometimes get neglected.

The resistance you are putting on your legs when you perform these types of exercises will strain your muscles to make them grow, which is the point of resistance

exercise. Generally for increased growth increase the resistance to create a more intense workout program.

It's easy when performing resistance exercises (using body weight, weights or bands) to just concentrate on the resistance being applied, but what you should really focus on the strain the resistance is placing on your muscles. Really push them as you are lifting and feel how they are working in response.

Abs and Core
Great abs are created much in the same way as any other

muscle group. Having strong abs or the core muscles are some of the most essential muscles

needed to perform at your highest level of activity. The core muscles are made up of your abs, back muscles,

diaphragm, and pelvic muscles. They help with maintaining a good strong base from which movement is initiated and help to maintain good back health.

Just like any muscle group the abs need to be worked, strained, and pushed in order to

become toned. You can get that toned, sculpted look by doing simple sit ups and crunches,

but other body weight and resistance exercises can help too.

Don't just train your abs by doing sit ups alone, as that is not the way they really

function in everyday life. The abs are part of the core musculature and are active with

many different movements. For example try hanging from a chin up bar and

lifting your knees up, or doing planks and other exercises that involve your core muscles.

It's important when choosing exercise exercises that you pick the ones that you are physically able to do. Then be very conscious of the way the exercise is supposed to be performed. If you don't pay special attention to your form, you may increase your risk of injury which can set back your exercise program

significantly.
