There are plenty of things to do at Patong Beach. There are water activates, parasailing and other things available for hire.

This may not be a good destination for the average backpacker, except in the rainy season when prices are far lower. However this is not Patong's stated market, it is fairly and squarely aimed at holidaymakers and does it rather well. If crowds aren't really your personal style you might instead consider heading to the next beach to the east of Patong and stay in one of our Kamala Beach hotels; or stay in our Karon Beach resorts just south of Patong.

Located on the rest of the world coast, Patong Beach is the most popular beach in Phuket.

There are many types of beaches on Phuket, if one wants unspoiled and natural then Patong is not your kind of place, but there are many unspoiled beaches in the north and south of this beautiful island. Patong is for those of you they like a developed resort with a wonderful feeling.

When you get hungry, treat your tastebuds at one of the many restaurants or cafes that line the beach. Patong Beach is also the main departure point on the island for liveaboard cruises and diving trips and offers great opportunities for snorkelling and surfing. The beach transforms into a night bazaar each night, packed with colourful stalls selling beach wears and leather goods.
